Hello! My name is Arin. I finished my Master’s degree in Geography at the University of Montana with an emphasis on GIS and cartography in 2021. I am employed as a Data Scientist at onXmaps, which focuses on providing outdoor mapping and navigation applications for outdoor use. I have been specializing in human geography, spatial statistics, MLOps, recommendation systems, and predictive modeling. My favorite kind of work involves deep research into unknown problems and working to develop and iterate on new workflows that provide high value. When not working as a data scientist you can usually find me lost on mountain bike trails, standing in a stream with a fly rod not catching fish, hyperventilating on a trail run, or climbing some rocks.
